The strategy of the project focuses on:

  1. Participatory approach to ensure that target groups, including concerned line agencies, local government institutions, elected local representatives, civil society partners and communities are fully involved in the implementation of project to ensure ownership and sustainability.
  2. Dovetail project interventions with other GOB, UNDP, Civil society and donor assistance to develop synergies and avoid duplication.
  3. Adopting gender sensitive strategies and action to address specific gender concerns related to the project areas of intervention.
  4. Addressing cross-thematic linkages with Millenium Development Goals (MDG) related sectors, particularly concentrating on poverty and gender issues in areas to be addressed under the project.
  5. Ensuring consistency of project outputs with the provincial policies and programs for improving the public services delivery mechanisms and support the achievement of MDGs.
  6. Promoting learning and exchange of experience with similar initiatives in the country.
