Introduction

Assistance to Governance Reforms and Practices in Balochistan (AGRP-B)” is a UNDP assisted project launched by the Government of Balochistan (GoB), Planning and Development Department (P&DD) in July 2007. The project aims to improve public service delivery by effective institutionalization of devolution and governance reforms through integration of citizens in the governance process.

Specific Objective

The following specific objectives of the project are:

1. Strengthening and alignment of provincial and local government institutions to implement devolution and related governance reform.
2. Improvement in access to information for effective decision making, planning and monitoring at provincial and local government levels.
3. Strengthening of participatory local governance mechanisms.
